Holiday and football party over….work beckons. But not before having a day-long Earthing and Foot Conference on Sunday with gorgeous niece B and her lovely friend Yemi (see pic). Before bed last night I noticed a twinge to my RIGHT ankle…. not good… is my right achilles now complaining? I have a full week of work… and my right foot is saying take it easy. Taxis may be the only solution.
Borrowed a book from Jay whilst in Greece called ‘How to find the work you love’ (Laurence Boldt)….will it say an awful lot of obvious stuff but not actually provide any solutions? Right now, I think lots of young people are looking for their metier (the job they were made for)…. and lots of older people are thinking ‘what now?’ … so since I have the time, I’m going to have a read and summarise if I think it says anything useful. In the meantime I think my legs are complaining about the shallow depth of the stair tread at home… weight-bearing on toes/balls of the feet means the calves are perhaps being made to work/take weight too soon… so I shall be hanging on to the banister for the time being.
It feels like I’ve had a pretty good summer all ready and that there’s still lots more to come…. we have come back to a lovely sunny England and several refurbishment projects are in the offing… where I get to deal….with builders. Yay!! It WILL be good (please…). And if it isn’t – I’ll just organise more foot conferences.
