On 31st Dec 1969, I remember thinking that it was pretty awesome that we were moving into a whole new decade… and then that got me thinking about the year 2000….when it would surely be like 2001 A Space Odyssey… and I would be a doddery old Grandma…. also, that the dreaded ‘1984’ will have been and gone. I had no idea how fast those years would pass…like the wind ripping through the pages of a book….(hey!…youngsters take note – literally …make sure you step back and inscribe even the smallest amount of all the good stuff that happens on your brain’s hard drive!!*).
Good stuff from 2014?… learning to listen to my body; holidaying in Greece; starting a blog; best summer I can remember for a long time; extraordinarily clear, beautiful nights in London; fun volunteering; fun with nieces and nephews……and whaaaat???…rupturing my tendon??? Rupturing my tendon meant I got to pay attention to my body and the chance to get myself and it prepared for better times to come!
Good stuff about now?…beautiful cat Troy punching me in the face to be fed (please Troy…manners!…check this video of 13 dogs and a cat with slightly better manners:Β https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhg7Xm4FXAY ); beautiful husband Jay finding his way; lovely warm house; ironed sheets on the bed; massaging my feet (see http://willpowermethod.com/programs/sole-training/); feeling my feet feeling the ground as I use my Vivobarefoot trainers.
Good stuff to come?….how will 2015 be? This could be a year of fun, of learning, being really healthy, travelling, making, selling, finding my metier, spending time with lovely people, a lot of smiling and, above all, walking and general barefootedness. I resolve to pretend I do not have a car. And to breathe and be even more grateful as I walk and walk and walk….(oh dear… I’ve said it now…where’s my pedometer?).
I’m gonna step forth…and deliberately expect to be amazed by 2015!
